3.7 Document Supplies and Parts [STREAM*] Copy

Record the parts consumed at the task level as well as any supplies required to complete the work. This information will be needed to design the Material Delivery system and will have a major impact on workstation design. This task will require a significant effort, since the materials required at the work step level is probably not available. The product Bill of Material identifies required material to the sub-assembly level but not to the work step level.

Keep in mind that this level of detail is absolutely necessary, and if you don’t collect this information now you will need to do it later.
