3.5 Establish Quality Criteria [STREAM*] Copy

Identify quality criteria for each work element in the SWD, in a separate column. Start with the rule “if there is more than one way to do this task, but only one is correct, document the correct way under Self Check in the SWD form”. Use this opportunity to identify work steps with a quality risk, and either error-proof the step or flag the need for a check-do-check step.

Objective: Identify potential quality risks at the work step or task level, and document the need for a check-do-check inspection if the work step cannot be error-proofed.
Key Result: Eliminate or greatly reduce the potential for workmanship errors at the detailed task level.
